Instrumental Tuition

Music is very popular at Barrow Hedges and lessons are available on a wide range of musical instruments. Lessons are offered by self-employed Approved Instrumental Teachers, provided by Sutton Music Service, who visit the school most weeks during term time.

Pupils will usually receive ten lessons each term and parents will be invoiced for payment by the instrumental teacher. The cost of lessons will vary depending on the duration and the number of pupils in a group, which can be negotiated with the instrumental teacher.

With the exception of piano, keyboard, guitar and percussion, instruments can be hired at a subsidised rate from Sutton Music Service, which also provides a range of bands and orchestras for young musicians. You can find more information at www.suttonmusicservice.org.uk
